BUN MONOREPOS: 45s CI, ZERO TYPE DRIFT

STOP THE CONFIG TAX. Node-based monorepos are slow. I built Anaqio (AI Fashion) using Bun Workspaces + Turborepo.

• RUNTIME: Bun.
• APPS: 3 Next.js 16 apps (Studio, Landing, Backoffice).
• SHARED: 11 packages. Types, schemas, Supabase, UI. Unified.

THE NUMBERS

• ZERO TYPE DRIFT: Unified Zod schemas across 3 apps. 3 hours saved/week.
• DEV SPEED: bun install in seconds. No build step for internal packages.
• CI PIPELINE: 45 seconds for full lint + type-check + build.

THE REALITY CHECK

• NATIVE ADDONS: sharp and Prisma need caution. Test before you commit.
• MATURITY: Tooling is young. Expect edge cases in debuggers.

VERDICT

Use Bun for greenfield multi-app monorepos. Spend less time waiting for builds. Spend more time shipping value.
